We’ve all been there: completely relaxed and in the middle of the perfect dream, when suddenly, the loud chime of our alarm clock wakes us up! One second, I’m a running back for the Detroit Lions (what?..you’ve never seen a sub 5 foot 8, 200 plus pound, 45 year old running back in the NFL?), and the next, I’m back in reality. The alarm goes off, and it’s time to care for our families, go to school, or head to work.

Well, whether you were woken from a perfect dream this morning, hit snooze too many times, or barely made it out of bed, there’s something you should know: when you woke up today, you woke up with an assignment from God. Yup, that’s right. As followers of Jesus, we all live on assignment and have a call from God to answer today and every day. Just like Matthew, a despised tax collector, you might be thinking, “Jesus is not calling me. Callings are for missionaries and pastors! I’m just a student, a stay-at-home mom, a bank teller, etc.” But also like Matthew, He’s calling you, too, and He wants to use you to impact people right where you are.  

Try to see people differently today.  What if every single person you come in contact with, started with you being reminded of how valuable they are to God.  Then remind yourself that God not only wants to use you, but he wants to use them as well. 

Easter Reminders

  1. This weekend is Easter at C3!  Don’t miss one of our four identical gatherings (Saturday – 6pm, Sunday – 9am, 10am, 11am.
  2. Don’t forget this week’s Chasing Epic Challenge is to pray for and invite at least one person to C3 this weekend for Easter.
  3. We’re kicking off Easter Week with a special Thursday Easter Communion with a free meal starting at 6:30 pm at C3.  

Prayer for the Day

God what are you  showing me?  What am I going to do about it? 

God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
