I Knew You Liked Skittles – Wednesday

Week 4 | Be-Friended

Listen instead of reading

Take a Moment

Ask God what He wants to show you before reading today

Read The Daily

“Tell me what I can do to help you,” Jonathan exclaimed (1 Samuel 20:4)

One student at C3 that attends NXT LVL (our Student Ministry) on Sunday nights, surprised me a few months ago.  She came in with a little gift basket for all the leaders and included one for me. It was full of candy and chips.  Great kid if you ask me haha.  But you know what really made it special.  She’s a pretty shy kid and doesn’t talk much.  She even seemed pretty nervous to hand it to me.  However, as she handed it to me, she said, “I included a few packs of Skittles because I heard you say once that was your favorite.  I think about that often.  True thoughtfulness is pretty powerful.   What’s the most thoughtful thing someone has done for you this year? What made it so thoughtful and kind?

The thing about thoughtfulness is that it requires that we think. Actually, I have great news for the “non-thinkers”. It doesn’t require any super math skills. More like being aware of how you can live and love like Jesus as Jesus lives in you and loves through you.

Prayer for the Day

God what are you  showing me?  What am I going to do about it?

God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
