There are so many ‘influencers’ we can choose to follow, but only one who truly changes our lives for the better. Jesus is the ultimate influencer with the greatest life hacks and top tips.

I think to follow Jesus is to live and love like Jesus as Jesus lives in you and loves through you.  We are choosing to be influenced by Jesus, to let His thoughts form our thoughts, to let His actions inspire our actions, to let what matters to Him matter to us, to be a part of His squad. In following Jesus, we are choosing to be like Him, and our lives and identity begin to be shaped by His love and grace (that’s a fancy word for God’s undeserved kindness).

That is the best news! Jesus came to show us what God is like. Jesus is the true ambassador for love and life to the full.  When we choose to follow Him, we are choosing life. We are choosing love. We are choosing what we were made for – friendship with God.

Try this today…Jesus showed love in many ways. Here are just a few:

Speaking hope and life into people’s lives (like telling someone that they matter and what you admire about them)

Standing up for others

Welcoming everybody no matter who they are

Giving what He had to help others

Forgiving others

Choose one to be influenced by and give it a go today.

Prayer for the Day

God what are you  showing me?  What am I going to do about it? 

God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
