Are Faith And Fear Just Opposite Sides Of The Coin? | Friday

Week 2 | Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Listen instead of reading

Take a Moment

Ask God what He wants to show you before reading today

Read The Daily

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1)

In healthcare, it is commonly recognized that your mindset affects your prognosis. People that tend to believe that it’s not going to get any better will tend to see that result and people that tend to have hope in what the outcome could be tend to see those results. Faith works similarly. If we allow fear to rule our mindset of what is possible, we will constrain the outcome. If we move forward in faith, however, God can show us the impossible. We need to change our mindset and allow hope to rise again. God has, God does, and God will. He has in the past, He does in the present, and He will in the future.

Faith and Fear both can consume you, you just have to choose where to focus

Jesus asked His disciples, who were in the boat with Him, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They had seen Him do miracles, and witnessed His power, yet they had forgotten in that very moment. After the wind was stilled and the waters became completely calm, the disciples were filled with a great awe, realizing the enormity of Jesus’ power.

Prayer for the Day

God what are you  showing me?  What am I going to do about it?

God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
