“But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us… What is important is faith expressing itself in love.” (Galatians 5:5-6)
Post by Aaron Fields
My family is in the “once we get a break” mode all the time. Life with three boys all under 15 is crazy! Ellen and I always seem at some point to say to one another, “we’ll get a break soon then we can rest before the next thing.” But if I’m being honest, that break never happens! My kids love to do anything and everything, so it is always a new game or event or something! I have found that if we treat this time in our lives as a “get to” instead of a “got to” it is actually a lot more enjoyable, and we don’t find ourselves worked up over just making it to the end of the day.
A life led by the Spirit isn’t about just making it through each day; it’s about flourishing in the love God freely gives. When we walk in the Spirit, we’re no longer bound by legalism or self-effort. Instead, we’re empowered to live in joy, peace, and purpose as He intended. Living by the Spirit’s power means we don’t just survive each day; we thrive in the love and grace that flows from God’s heart Today, let’s lean into the Spirit’s guidance and allow His love to bring true peace and joy into our lives. May our lives radiate His love so that others, too, are inspired to thrive in Him.
Prayer for the Day
God what are you showing me? What am I going to do about it?
God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
