“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

I love the beach and ocean! Anyone that would choose the mountains for a vacation getaway is just wrong.  Newsflash: I can save you a ton of money… just walk outside.  We live in the same area lol.  Either way, I love when we stay at the beach in a condo that has pools and a lazy river (or close enough to another resort that I pretend like I’m staying there).  Lazy rivers are designed for relaxation—just sit back, and the current carries you effortlessly. But you know what I do within about five minutes of just going with the flow?  I try to swim against it, exhausting myself in the process. After being tired for a long period of time, I give in, let go, and allow the current to carry me. Suddenly, the journey becomes enjoyable again.  When we live by the Spirit, life flows. But when we try to fight God’s timing or force our own plans, we end up frustrated. Choosing flow over force means trusting that God’s current will take us where we need to go. Are you fighting the current, or are you letting the Spirit carry you?

Life moves from frustration to freedom when you let love lead

Paul says the fruit of the Spirit isn’t something we strain to produce; it’s something that flows naturally when we’re rooted in Christ. The self-life demands force—we try harder, strive more, push through—but the Spirit invites us to let go and trust His process. It’s not about pushing; it’s about staying connected.  In the same way, the Spirit grows fruit in us—not through force, but through flow. When we rest in Him, love, joy, peace, and all the other fruits grow effortlessly in our lives. Are you trying to force your way through something today? What if you paused, rested, and let the Spirit lead?

Prayer for the Day

God what are you  showing me?  What am I going to do about it?

God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
