One thing that I cannot ever do, is look at my phone and walk. You might as well just blindfold me. I have enough focus problems as it is! Have you ever tried walking while looking at your phone, only to trip over something? When we lose focus, it’s easy to stumble. Peter experienced this when he looked at the waves instead of Jesus. He began to sink, but Jesus was right there to lift him up.
Life’s waves can be distracting—worries about the future, relationships, or work. But when we keep our eyes on Jesus, He gives us the strength to walk through life’s storms. And even when we falter, He’s there to catch us. What distractions do you need to let go of to focus on Jesus this year?

God what are you showing me? What am I going to do about it?
God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
