You Do, Someone Else Watches
I shared with our staff the other day about what truly keeps me motivated at C3. I feel like it’s my life’s purpose to help others find their purpose. That’s still a little fuzzy, so I doubled down and told them I have a dream for them and so many others C3ers, like you right now reading or listening to see success (maximize) and succession (multiply). Success isn’t what we maybe all think it is, but actually to maximize our own God-given potential. Succession is when we invest in others so they maximize their own God-given potential as well which multiplies everything. My biggest highlights are when I get to watch others living to their full potential. This can look really different for different people but we’ll never go wrong by trying to fulfill our potential and help others do the same.
The disciples embraced Jesus’ commission to make disciples and passed on what they had learned to the next generation of Church leaders, like Paul, Silas, Titus, and Timothy. Paul wrote to Timothy, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:2). The disciples walked closely with Jesus, learned from Him, and then passed the baton to the next generation. Discipleship continues as each generation invests in the next. Who can you invest in so they can reach their God-given potential?
Prayer for the Day
God what are you showing me? What am I going to do about it?
God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
