Read Psalm 138:6-8 (NLT)
“The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.” Most of us have said something to the effect that God has a plan for our lives or everything happens for a reason. We often quote these phrases when things get tough in life. In our heads, we may believe that God has reasons for why things happen, but it’s hard for our heart to accept.
The same is true when it comes to our purpose in life. We know that God has something for us to do, a purpose to live out, but it’s hard for us to be able to live it out. In fact, many of us live as though God doesn’t have a plan for us. We don’t stop in our day to day life to consider how God would have us react to each situation we encounter. We are focused on what we want to accomplish and attain instead of consumed with living out God’s plan for our life.
Everything we say or do has an eternal impact on those around us. The ripple effect of our lives spreads far beyond anything we can ever imagine. God has an amazing plan and purpose for how to use you to impact lives. But, what does your life say about Christ? Do you live each day living out His purpose in a way that shows the world who Christ is? Or, does the way you live give off the wrong impression of God?
