Read: Romans 12:3-8

Ever been seriously injured and tried to continue your routine activities? A broken arm can make the simplest jobs difficult. Getting dressed alone becomes almost impossible. A relaxing bath is out of the question when your arm hangs off the side of the tub. During times like this, we realize the importance of each body part. Each organ and body part has a specific purpose. The body experiences delayed progress and impaired ability when a part is injured or removed. In this way, the Church is like the human body. Each Christ follower receives a special gift to be shared with others.  The Bible says in Romans 12:4-5, “just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” One part of the human body cannot function in isolation, and the whole body is impaired if this part is missing. In the same way, one follower of Jesus cannot function alone and the Church needs all of its members working together to function the way God designed.]]>
