Tim Chester, in his book “You Can Change,” shares four liberating truths about God that hold the power to set us free. By embracing and believing these truths, we can rediscover our true identity and experience the freedom God offers. Today, we’ll look at the last two truths.

God is good—so we don’t have to look elsewhere. In your search for meaning and satisfaction, have you pursued temporary pleasures and worldly pursuits? God’s goodness is the source of lasting joy. While sin may promise temporary satisfaction, it leaves you empty. Only God offers the true fulfillment your soul craves. When you recognize His goodness, you can stop searching for satisfaction in all the wrong places and start living in the abundance of His love.

God is gracious—so we don’t have to prove ourselves. Are you caught in the endless cycle of striving for others’ approval? God’s grace liberates you from this exhausting pursuit. You don’t need to prove yourself to anyone, for God has already accepted you. Embrace His grace, recognize your true identity, and rest in the assurance that you are loved and cherished just as you are.
