“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)
Have you ever wondered why you struggle with certain sins or negative emotions in your life? Tim Chester, in his book “You Can Change,” shares four liberating truths about God that hold the power to set us free. By embracing and believing these truths, we can rediscover our true identity and experience the freedom God offers. Here are the first two.
God is great—so we don’t have to be in control. How often do you find yourself striving to maintain control over every aspect of your life? In a world that bombards us with messages of self-sufficiency, it’s easy to forget that God’s greatness means we don’t have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. Surrendering control to Him allows us to find true freedom from anxiety and worry. When life’s storms come, remember that God is greater than anything you face. Let go, trust Him, and experience the peace of knowing you’re not alone in the battle.
God is glorious—so we don’t have to fear others. Are you trapped by the fear of what others think of you? God’s glory surpasses any human opinion. Understanding that God’s opinion is the only one that truly matters can free you from the fear of man. You don’t have to seek approval or live in constant anxiety about others’ judgments. Embrace your identity as a beloved child of the Most High, and you’ll find the confidence to live without fear.
See how the 4 G’s of God give good news for each temptation.

Prayer for the Day
God what are you showing me? What am I going to do about it?
God help me to see one person that I can serve through a kind word, random act of kindness, or simple gift today?
