Psalm 115:1 Have you ever had to deal with someone who was really arrogant? There are few things in the world that are more annoying than dealing with someone who make everything about them because they truly believe that everything should be about them. Even worse, if you are stuck working with someone who is arrogant, they will often take credit for things that may have been from someone else. Most of us, though, wouldn’t say we are arrogant. We might say we are self-confident or self-assured. But, arrogance and pride are a bigger deal than we realize for most of us. When we experience success or failure, we often give ourselves way too much credit or way too much blame. We falsely believe that everything in our life is about us, and everything rises and falls on our efforts and abilities. God doesn’t call us to worry about the results we experience in our lives. God calls us to be faithful to Him and leave the results up to Him. It’s arrogant to believe that your success and failures rise and fall on you and you alone. Do you think you struggle with arrogance and pride in the sense of taking too much of the credit or too much of the blame when it comes to the results of your life?]]>
