Romans 12:17-21 When you are watching someone struggle to complete something, are you the type that’s patient with them and wait for them to figure things out? Do you gently nudge them in the right direction for them to find their way? Or, are you the type that immediately wants to jump in and just complete the task yourself? I’m definitely the latter in my life. I have little patience with watching people struggle through things. It’s easier for me to just do things myself than to wait for someone to figure it out or spend my time helping that person. We are very good with trying to take matters in our own hands. When things don’t go the way we would like them to in our life, we want to handle things our self. That might be by taking revenge on someone who has hurt us, or it could be us trying to fix our own mistakes. The problem occurs when we try to fix something evil with evil, mistakes with more mistakes, or sin with more sin. We want to create our own future instead of trusting God to take care of the situation. We must learn to trust God to clean up the messes in our life instead of trying to fix things ourselves and make an even bigger mess. Are you relying on God when things don’t go your way, or do you try to handle things on your own?]]>
