Acts 4:25-31 IDIOTS WHO HAVE BEEN WITH JESUS ARE INCREDIBLY BOLD If we took a survey of everyone at C3, chances are most of us would say that we aren’t bold. There are things we are all afraid of. There are things that we think (or know!) that we can’t do. We don’t think we are bold because we are scared. Being bold doesn’t mean that you aren’t afraid. Being bold is having the courage to do something tough even if it does scare you. For example, in this passage, Peter and John had been imprisoned and must have been scared for their life because of countless other Christians being killed for their faith. Even though they must have been afraid, they were still bold enough to do the things God had asked them to do in their lives. They were bold because they had complete trust in God. While you may think that being afraid is a sign of weakness, God sees it as a way for Him to show up in big ways in your life. When you trust God with the things in life you are afraid or worried about, that is being bold. When you step out and do something God asks you to do even when it scares you, that is being bold. Followers of Jesus who have been with Jesus are incredibly bold because they have faith in God that He will come through for them. What’s one area of your life where you need to be more bold? How can you trust God more in that situation.]]>
