Acts 5:38-39 IDIOTS WHO HAVE BEEN WITH JESUS ARE UNSTOPPABLE When I watch sports, I almost always root for the underdog (besides when they play my favorite teams) because I love to see the little guy take out the giant. Upsets in sports are fun to watch because no one expects the lesser talented team to beat the more talented team. It’s surprising, and it’s exciting. If you lined up Jesus’ followers with the religious leaders of their day, it would be no contest. Jesus’ disciples were like the religious version of the bad news bears. They were idiots, and everyone knew it. But God used the disciples to do great things…things much greater than the other religious leaders could have even imagined for their own lives. The disciples were unstoppable because they had been with Jesus. No matter how much of a screw up you think you are, if you are doing what it is that God has asked you to do with your life, you will be successful. Things won’t always work out the way you want them to, but God will use you to do amazing things for His kingdom. God is much stronger than our weaknesses, and he is much more powerful than our screw ups. You may feel like the underdog in life, but God wants to use you to do something surprisingly amazing with your life. It may not always be easy, but it will be exciting.]]>
