Joshua 1:7-9 I like to eat, but cooking can be extremely frustrating. It doesn’t matter how well you follow a recipe or instructions, sometimes that amazing meal you’re looking forward to eating just turns out to be mush. It can drive you nuts, because, in our mind, reading directions plus following directions should always equal success. This is what we think about living life the way God spells out in the Bible. We think that if we do what God says in the Bible, then things should go exactly how we want it to in life. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how perfectly you follow instructions, things just turn out to be mush. But, no matter what, the most successful life you can possibly live is when you take time to listen to what God wants you to do and live that way. God’s way is the very best way to live because He knows much more about life than we do. Even when things don’t seem to make sense or work out the way we want them to, God tell us that He “will be with you wherever you go” and “you will be prosperous and successful” if you live life His way. If you truly want to be successful, you have to read the Bible and do what it says. How often do you read the Bible and apply it to your life?]]>
