1 Corinthians 12:12-27 This week, during C3’s Crosstraining, we will be looking at C3’s Core Values. Here’s  #3: We are spiritual contributors not spiritual consumers. The church does not exist for us. We are the church and we exist for the world. We live in a world where you can’t turn on the TV, answer the phone, get on the internet, check the mail, or drive down the street without someone trying to sell us something through advertising. We get to decide what we want to buy. Unfortunately, many of us approach our relationship with God and our involvement with church in the same way. We pick and choose what “works for us” and “what we want.” Instead of contributing to what God wants to do in the world, we are content to sit back and consume the work other people are doing. The Bible says that each of us are part of the body of Christ (the church), and we each have a very important role in what God wants to do in our church. What each of us does affects everyone else. What about you? Have you been doing your part in being a spiritual contributor in the church instead of a spiritual consumer? If you’ve been a spiritual consumer, what can you start doing to be a contributor?]]>
