Read Matthew 25:24-30
I have always been a daydreamer. As a kid, I would day dream about playing in the NBA or NFL, being a hero, or any other kind of great life I could think of dreaming about. Even as I get older, I find myself daydreaming when I go run or am passing time. I have never thought, though, to daydream about the life I’m living right now. I wouldn’t waste my time daydreaming about the life I am living, but I am willing to waste my actual life living it.
Most of us have dreamed about a life better than the one we had. We want to do bigger things that we have done. We want to be a better person than we are right now. God has those same dreams for our lives. He wants us to stop playing around with our lives and start really living out the lives that He created us for. Maybe it’s time to stop daydreaming about the lives we could have and start actually living them.
Are you willing to risk something that is important to you to be close to Jesus and do what He created you for? Are you ready to step out, put it all on the line, and live the life God is calling you to?
