Read Acts 2:42-47 Have you ever had a conversation with someone that just didn’t get what you were talking about? It didn’t matter how well you explained what was going on, they just weren’t connecting the dots? It can be frustrating when someone just doesn’t get it when something is so clear in your own mind. It’s not uncommon to hear someone say, “I’m going to church”, “Where is your church?”, or “When will your church be finished?” The funny thing is, though, that the the actual definition of the church couldn’t be further from a place, building, or location. God probably hears us talking about church and feels like we do trying to explain something to someone that is totally confused. The true definition of church is the people who are followers of Christ come together. The Bible says that the church is the body of Christ, and it’s our interactions, relationships, and love for God and others that make up what the church is. Early Christians devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching, breaking of bread, fellowship, and prayer.  The church isn’t just a building, an hour on Sunday, music, or all those other things that people typically associate with church–it’s you and me.  At C3, we are a church that is striving to be relevant, relational, relentless and reproducing like the early church, and the only way that can happen is if you and I as individuals are relevant, relational, relentless, and reproducing. Reflect Do you view yourself as someone who “goes to church” or someone that is “part of the church?” How might people act differently based on their perspective? Pray Ask God today how you can “be the church” for Him in your day to day life. // TWO-A-DAYS // GO A LITTLE FARTHER WITH YOUR DAILY DEVOTIONS // Go through these questions with your spouse, kids, or friend, or you can even journal about the answers to these questions:

  1. What was the best part of your day?
  2. What was the toughest part of your day?
  3. Where did you mess up today?
  4. Where did you see God today?
