Psalm 37:4 I don’t always follow instructions very well. I usually think I know better than whoever is telling me how to do something. Sure, they may know what they are talking about and have had much more experience doing whatever it is I’m doing in the moment, but I insist that I know better. This usually leads to me messing something up and having to go back to the personal afterwards and asking them to fix my mistakes. Had I just listened to them earlier, I could have had the satisfaction of doing it on my own, but, because I chose to do things my own way, I miss out on that. We often do the same thing with God. He tells us the best possible way to live our lives, but we don’t want to live His way. It either goes against what we want, or we think we know better, so we go off and live however we want. After a while, though, we realize that we’ve messed up and God truly does know what’s best for us, and we have to go back and ask Him to fix our mistakes. God has amazing gifts in store for our life if we do things His way. This includes areas like relationships and sex. The blessings He has for us when it comes to intimacy are truly awesome, but we often forfeit those blessings because we refuse to listen to what He says is best for our lives. Do you often struggle with thinking your way is the best way when it comes to what God wants for you?  ]]>
