Numbers 13:26-29 A few weeks ago, I read an article online about how some big time movie stars aren’t quite as big as you might think. That is, they are a little shorter height wise than what the average person is. I read about how big stars like Tom Cruise or Kiefer Sutherland from 24 will require other actors to not wear shoes when they are shooting with them and use other movie tricks to make it seem like they are the same size. They want to make themselves appear larger by making everyone else look shorter. This is what Satan does with our view of God. Our enemy will try to make God seem smaller than us, so our problems seem much bigger. God is big enough and powerful enough to handle even life’s toughest situations. He created and sustains the world, He created you and me, and He can deal with the problems we face. But, if our enemy can convince us that maybe God isn’t that powerful doesn’t care as much as He says He does, He makes God appear smaller to us and what may be small problems to God become big problems to us. Instead of focusing on how big your problems are, maybe it’s time to focus on our giant God. When we see God for who He really is, even the most daunting of obstacles seem small in comparison.]]>
