Ephesians 3:20-21 While I was in college, I went on two overseas mission trips to Peru. On the second trip I went on, the plane we were flying back on was overbooked, so the airline was offering a $500 voucher, a free night in a nice hotel, and three free meals the next day if you waited to fly home the next night. Several of us took the offer. My thinking was that I could use the $500 airline voucher to literally go anywhere in the world I wanted to go visit. It was good for a year, so I could even return on a mission trip or use it to go somewhere I’ve never been before on vacation. A year went by, and I never used my airline voucher. I could have went anywhere, but I missed out on the opportunity. In our society, we talk a lot about potential. A young bright individual has the potential to be something great. Our weekend getaway has the potential to be awesome. If we do a few things, we have the potential to do something big with our lives. But, potential doesn’t really matter if it’s never converted into something tangible. We can talk about potential all we want, but it’s when things actually happen that it matters. With God’s power working through our life, we have the potential to see amazing things done through our lives. There’s literally no limit to what we can accomplish with God’s help. But, the problem for most of us is that we never actually do anything about it. We live out the status quo, never turning potential into reality. Are you read to convert your potential into something real? It’s time to start stepping up and doing something about what God has created you to do with your life.]]>
