John 11:1-45 We lucked out this year by having a warmer than normal winter. Usually, though, winter is tough, dreary, and it seems like it will never end. A bad relationship or marriage can feel like a really long winter. Cold and dead. But our faithful God never allows winter to last too long.  Spring comes and warmer days always return.  He’s into resurrection. When Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead, he had been dead for four days. His sisters were beside themselves with grief. The funeral was over. This was a done deal. Death had its day. But Jesus had other plans. He said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” In the same way that Jesus called Lazarus to life, He can bring life from a dead marriage or relationship. He can call “time” on the winter of a relationship and bring new life to a dreary situation. In verse 40, Jesus asks a question that applies to us as well, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” God wants to perform miracles in our relationships. If we believe, we can see God do the miraculous.]]>
