Read Luke 16:10-13
Have you ever had an argument with someone where it went on so long that you eventually forget what the argument was actually about? We end up fighting to be right, or to be more accurate, fighting to prove that the other person is wrong. In fact, there have been times in my life where I am willing to patch things up with someone and the other person is as well, but we are both waiting for someone else to take the first move. We want things to be resolved, but we aren’t willing to do what it takes to initiate it.
We do the same thing with things other than arguments, too. We constantly want things to happen for us. We want things to fall into place in our lives, but we often don’t do anything to get there. Instead of pursuing the direction God wants us to go, we sit on our hands praying that God will make everything right.
God can do anything He wants. He doesn’t need anything from us. But, He has chosen not to move unless we do. In the Bible, God almost always operates in the biggest ways when someone steps out in faith. He often moves when someone is willing to take the risk and do what needs to get done. We need to continue to have big dreams for what God can do in our lives, but we also must be willing to start with small steps. Instead of just hoping and praying for God to work, lets add taking the necessary steps to see Him do great things.]]>
