Read Revelation 2:4-5

I’m bad about misplacing things around the house.  Fortunately, my wife keeps pretty good tabs about where I lay my keys, camera, and clothes.  A couple months ago, though, I had a real scare when I thought I lost my wedding ring.  For a couple days, I didn’t even tell my wife I had misplaced the ring.  I usually lay it on our bookshelf or in my office, so when she didn’t see it on my finger, it wasn’t really a surprise.  After a couple days of no ring, I was getting a little concerned that I truly had lost the ring.

Luckily, I remembered that I had placed it in the pocket of my jeans when I was working on the building project.  I found my pile of dirty jeans, and the ring was in my pocket.  Only then did I feel like it was safe to tell my wife.

In our lives, we have to be honest about where we lost our spiritual edge.  It could be something as simple as stopping a daily reading plan.  Maybe you started dating someone who didn’t make church a priority or perhaps little league games were scheduled every Sunday afternoon.  It’s important to remember where you lost your spiritual edge if you’re going to get it back.]]>
