Read Luke 14:16-18,21-24

The average human makes about 612 decisions every day.  This is the equivalent of 4,900 decisions in a week and 254,800 a year.  These can be voluntary decisions like deciding where to go to lunch or involuntary decisions where your brain transmits a message to your body to follow through on.  Decisions can be trivial or life-changing.  They can cause conflicts in relationships and added frustration when your spouse continually says, “I don’t know” to the infamous “What’s for dinner?” question.  One of the most important decisions we can make in our life is to accept Christ as our personal savior.  However, the decision doesn’t end there.  We are called to share the good news with others.

In our story, the lepers were obviously mistreated, disrespected, and isolated in their homeland.  However, after their unlikely discovery, the lepers realized they could not keep quiet about that had received.  They did not deserve to deny others because they didn’t deserve it either.  The same is true in our discovery of Christ and the relationship that follows. We certainly did not deserve the gift of eternal life that Jesus’ death provided.  How then can we keep such good news to ourselves when we never deserved it in the first place?

Who is someone you can invited to Easter at C3 this weekend?  This is a great opportunity to share the good news about Christ and all that he has done and continues to do in our lives.]]>
