Hebrews 11:35-40 In Hebrews chapter 11, the writer of Hebrews talks about some of the great people of the Bible who God used to do great things. People like Moses and Abraham whom God used over and over to show who He was and how powerful He was. But, as the writer was talking about these great heroes in the Bible, he mentions a group of people (he doesn’t even give their name) who He says are among the best of the best. The Bible says that this group was persecuted and faced heavy opposition. What’s unique about this group is that so often we think that if we’re following God, everything will work out the way we have planned. Life didn’t work out for these individuals the way they had planned, but God was still there for them, cared for them, and used their lives in amazing ways. While you will probably not have to face the type of persecution that this group did, chances are you will face tough times in your life. If you truly want to break free from worry in your life, you have to learn to trust God, no matter what happens. Are you willing to trust God with the things in your life even when it doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t fit in with the plans that you have?]]>
