As Jacob neared his old home, he was terrified of his brother’s wrath. Instead of being his old self and coming with tricks and deception, he humbly went to Esau man to man to face him. When Esau saw Jacob, though, he ran to Jacob and embraced him. The two brothers who had fought fiercely and selfishly were now trying to outdo each other with selflessness. Jacob offered gifts to Esau, but Esau refused until Jacob insisted. Is there someone in your life that you constantly struggle with? Take time to pray for that person specifically that God would bless them, and ask God to help you love and serve them.
