Read Psalm 103:10-14

I have a tendency to try to do things on my own. I struggle with trusting other people enough to allow them to help me. Many times, it’s just easier for me to do something myself than it is to teach someone else how to help out. Most of us do this throughout most of our lives. We are struggling with something, but, instead of allowing other people in to help us through, we try to deal with it all ourselves. Even more tragically, this is what we often do when it comes to God.

When we’ve been hurt, we often want to deal with it ourselves even though God wants to help us through our pain. When we’ve went through a tough situation, we can try to handle it all ourselves, or we can add God into the equation. It can be hard to forgive someone who has wronged us, but it is possible if we focus on how God has forgiven us. We have sinned against God in our life, but God loves us so much that He chose to forgive us. Being reminded of how He’s forgiven us is a great way to be able to start forgiving others in our life. Not only that, but He can also show us how He can still take a painful experience and use it for something really good. READ THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT Today’s Reading:  John 13]]>
