Read Nehemiah 4:11-23 As the opposition began to escalate for the people of Jerusalem rebuilding the wall, the threat of an attack became very really. It would have been easy for the Jewish people to concede defeat and surrender. All of their hard work would have been for nothing. Instead of giving up, the people rallied around each other. They each continued to do their part while also being on the lookout while the others were working on the wall. In short, they relied on each other to accomplish what God had asked them to do. Bottom line, none of us can do all of what God wants to do by ourselves. We need the help from people around us, and those people around us need our help, too. If we really want to see God do amazing things in our community, we need to be there to encourage and help each other. Not only do we all need to be willing to step in and do our part, but we also need to be willing to be there to watch out for others working for the same goal. Action Step: 1. What is one area you struggle with that you can’t seem to do or fix on your own. Find someone you can trust to share your struggle with and ask them to help you with it. 2. Keep an eye out for people who need encouragement or a helping hand. Prayer Request: Pray that God will continue to bless our church with people who are willing to not only do their part to change our world but also be there to help others. Pray that C3 will continue to be the type of church where people are there to help each other become who God wants them to be.]]>
