Read Nehemiah 11:22-30 As we come to the end of reading through the book of Nehemiah, there are several things we can learn from Nehemiah as we look back over his story: We need to have a clear purpose. Nothing got in Nehemiah’s way while he was pursuing the dream God put on his heart. His work was too important for him to come down from the wall. We need to be honest. Nehemiah always spoke the truth about the reality of the situation…even when it made things more difficult. We need to live the right way. When Nehemiah was accused of things, it didn’t stick This was because Nehemiah did things the right way in life. We need to be connected to God. Nehemiah was constantly praying and seeking God for help, strength, and guidance. Nehemiah was able to accomplish a huge task against incredible odds because he learned that there is no success without risk of failure, no reward without hard work, no opportunity without criticism, and no true change without faith in God. Action Step: Easter is this Sunday. If you haven’t invited the people that you had chosen to invite to Easter at C3, make plans to do it before Sunday. Also, volunteer at Easter services this Sunday to make a difference in people’s lives. Today’s Prayer: Pray that God will help you to be more like Nehemiah. That you would have a clear purpose from God in your life, that you’d be honest, that you’d live life the right way, and that you stay connected to God in your spiritual life.]]>
