Change Your World – Day 7

Read Nehemiah 3:1-12 For the Jews, rebuilding the city walls was much more than a city beautification project. It was crucial for the city’s walls to be rebuilt for their city’s security. It was a national emergency for the Jews. The great thing about this project was that everyone pitched in. There were very few people who didn’t do their part to rebuild the walls of the city. They knew that to complete such a massive – and massively important – project, it would take everyone doing their part. This is equally important in the church today. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 that every person in the church is part of the body and each of those parts of the body needs to be doing their part for the whole body to be healthy. If we truly want to see God do amazing things through C3, it will take everyone pitching in and doing their part. If we want to see God change our world in 52 days, each of us will have to step up and do the things that God has asked us to do. Action Step: Get involved. There are so many C3’ers who do so much to see God do amazing things at C3. They volunteer their time and sacrifice a lot to be a part of what God is doing. If you aren’t volunteering, attending a small group, or helping out in outreaches, pick one area and get involved. Today’s Prayer: Pray for the leaders at C3. Sure, pray for Trent as he leads us as a church and our other pastors, but also pray for out other volunteer ministry leaders. There are leaders who lead volunteers, small groups, outreach, and several other areas of C3.
