Solomon could have had anything he wanted – weather, health, success, or anything else. Instead, Solomon chose to ask God for wisdom to know the difference between bad and good, between good and best. He realized that he didn’t have it in him to lead the Israelites. God was pleased with him. God was so pleased with Solomon’s request that he threw in health and wealth. Indeed, the outlandish success that Solomon enjoyed in his life came from the wisdom he had asked God for. He made good choices, and those choices paid off for him and his people. We need to seek God’s wisdom for the decisions in our lives. Spend a few minutes sharing with God about the decisions you are currently making and ask Him to give you the wisdom to make the right choices.
