James 4:7-8 I made some good friends while I was in college. We hung out together, played ball a couple of nights a week, and even typically went and grabbed dinner in the cafeteria every night. When you spend that much time with a group of people over the course of a few years, you end up pretty close. When we graduated, though, a funny thing happened. Some of us moved back to our hometowns and some people moved across the country. We quickly drifted apart, and, now, I rarely see the guys I saw every day for two and a half years. It was easy to be close when we were around each other. It’s much tougher when you don’t live close to each other. The same is true with our relationship with God. If we want to hear from God and have God be a major part in our lives, we need to be close to Him. The Bible tells us that God will draw near to us when we seek to draw near to Him. How close we are to God matters. You have to be close enough to hear Him. Are you close enough to God to hear Him speak to you in your life?]]>
