Proverbs 16:1-4, 8-9 I hate to travel. I don’t like being in a car for over a half an hour, and, if I get anything but an aisle seat in a plane, i feel like throwing a temper tantrum like I am 5 years old again. I don’t like to wait to get to my destination, I want to be there RIGHT NOW! This is also how most of us are with our lives. We have an idea where we want to be in life, and we want to be there now. We don’t want to wait, we don’t want to have to work toward it, we just want to be there. But, this isn’t how God works. God actually seems to mess our plans up more often than He help us accomplish our plans. God doesn’t mess up our plans because He is a jerk that doesn’t want us to have fun. He messes up our plans because He has a better plan for our life, and He wants us to take our life one step at a time. He doesn’t want us to always worry about the big picture in our life, He wants us to look at the next step He’s given us to take. What’s your next step spiritually? Is it committing your life to Him, becoming Baptized, getting more involved in church, being more generous, or simply just becoming a better person? Whatever your next step is, ask God to help you take it and get ready to take it. ]]>
