Acts 4:14-21 Yesterday, we read that the religious leaders were unhappy with Peter and John because they were disrupting the religious status quo in the area by growing the early church from a small group of 11 people to over 5,000 people in a short time. The religious leaders challenged the early church leaders and accused them, but they were quickly shut up because a man that they had healed was standing right there with them. Even today, a changed life is always the best evidence that God is moving. The religious leaders still wanted to stop the new church from growing, so they told Peter and John to stop speaking about Jesus. But, Peter and John replied “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to Him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Peter and John knew two things: 1. No matter what the opposition is, it is always better to do things God’s way. God always knows what’s best for us, even when it doesn’t make sense for us. 2. When God has done something truly amazing around you, you can’t help but share what God is doing with the people around you. How are you sharing what God has done in your life with the people in your life?]]>
