Luke 18:9-14 Have you ever been talking to someone about another person and your opinions of the other person differs? You might think the third person who isn’t present is a jerk, but whoever you’re talking to might think they are the nicest person ever. It’s not uncommon for people to see others differently than others do. It’s all about the different perspectives and experiences you might have with those people. While it may not be a huge deal to disagree with other people about what another person is like, we can run into trouble when we start seeing others differently than God sees them. Whether we realize it or not, most of us struggle with pride. We think more highly of ourselves than we should. This often causes us to look down on other people. The Bible says that He created every person in His own image. Every person matters to God. When pride sneaks into our lives, we may end up looking at others differently than God’s view of them. When we don’t view others the way God would like us to, we don’t treat others the way He wants us to. God wants us to value others. When we see the least among us, God wants us to look at them as if we were looking at Him. Do you struggle with pride and looking down on others? Begin to look at them as an individual created in God’s image.  ]]>
