Galatians 6:3 I have a friend whose cars constantly break down. Every time I turn around it seems like they are pumping thousand of dollars into their old beat up clunkers. Come to find out that the guy just doesn’t take good care of the vehicles. When things go wrong or dash lights illuminate, they just keep the pedal to the metal. They never stop to take care of the problem, and, eventually, what seemed like such a small problem exploded into a major problem. Pride is a lot like this. If we don’t deal with our pride, it will wreck our life. Pride ruins our relationship with God and the people who God wants us to share His love with. This pride that most of us face causes us to be self centered and focused on all the wrong things. We try to rationalize our pride, but God isn’t buying our excuses. If you want to keep pride from wrecking you, you need to take care of it before it gets out of hand. The first step is to recognize that you’re prideful. Whether you look down on others or not, or you leave God out because you think you can handle life yourself, recognize your pride. Change your mind about your pride, and just ready yourself to deal with it. It’s not always easy to deal with personal issues like pride, but, if we wont, were running the risk of pride ruining our life .]]>
