1 Corinthians 15:33 We all know “Negative Nancies” and “Debbie Downers.” If you pause long enough to think about it, I’m sure you can start compiling quite a long list of people who just seem to be always negative no matter what the situation. It’s easy to pick these people out because you know them by how they make you feel when you’re around them. When you are around positive people, it typically makes us more positive. When we are around chronically negative people, though, they usually drag us down with them. Being around a constantly negative person just for a little while can ruin your whole day. In our lives, we are all faced with situations and people who don’t always look at the positive or bright side of things.  If we’re not careful, it’s easy to fall in a trap and become just as negative as everyone else.  These people are chronically negative, critical, incredibly judgmental, and nothing is ever good enough for them. The Bible is quick to point out that bad company corrupts good character.  Are there people or relationships in your life that continually bring you down or lead you into uncomfortable or situations that you know are not God’ honoring?  How can you separate yourself from this chronic negativity and channel your energy to positive relationships?]]>
