John 16:33 One of my go to shows when there is nothing else on tv is “Wipeout.” It’s the show with crazy obstacle courses where people come up against obstacle courses that knock them around and throw them into water. It never gets old watching some random person mistiming a landing and getting knocked into the pool below. They often get blindsided by various obstacles. These critical errors could be avoided because they should be expecting obstacles because, after all, that’s what the whole show is about. When we look to live for Jesus and pursue a Christian lifestyle, the commitment does not come without obstacles, roadblocks, and pit stops. Our enemy will continually throw up obstacles to derail us from living out everything God has for us.  He will put sickness, death, money issues, and relationship problems in our way.  However, we serve a God who helps us to overcome obstacles daily if we simply trust him.  While obstacles are certainly not always welcomed or expected, it’s comforting to know that God is there to help us face these challenges daily if we simply submit to him. We will definitely hit obstacles, so we should be expecting them and ready to lean on God.]]>
