PRAY: This prayer prompt is designed to help get you started in your prayer time. Use this to either begin your personal prayer time or your prayer time with your spouse or family.
Years after Joseph’s brothers had sold him into slavery, they now had to stand before the brother they had betrayed to beg for food. When they discovered that Joseph was the man from Egypt who was overseeing all the food, they were terrified. They had every reason to since most of us would have reacted with vengeance toward the brothers in the same situation. However, instead of sending them away, locking them up, or worse, Joseph chose to forgive his brothers because he knew that God had a bigger plan for him. Is there something you are up against right now that’s tough and you don’t understand why things are happening the way they are? Take some time and pray and talk to God about how you know He has a plan and ask Him to guide you in the way you should go.
