Read Mark 4:35-39 One of my biggest fears is to be stranded, completely alone, floating in outer space. While, I don’t anticipate getting to do a moonwalk anytime soon, the more plausible scenario of being lost at sea by myself also freaks me out. So, when I read of the disciples being on a boat with Jesus in the middle of a storm, I must confess that I would be panicking right there with the disciples. After spending some time teaching people with stories and explaining to his disciples what the stories meant, Jesus tells his crew that they needed to cross the Sea of Galilee. Jesus and his disciples hopped in a boat and took off across the sea. All of the sudden, a storm hit causing the boat to nearly capsize from the raging waves. While the disciples were frantic and afraid for their lives, but Jesus was calm. So calm that he was in the stern of the boat, fast asleep. The disciples woke Jesus trying to figure out why Jesus wasn’t worried. Jesus got up and told the waves “Quiet! Be still!” Much to the disciples amazement, the sea listened. Jesus was God. He knew that they would encounter a storm out on the Sea of Galilee long before he told the disciples to hop in. God is never blindsided by the storms we face in our lives. God is always confident and in control. No matter how big something might seem, God is not worried or anxious. Our heavenly Father never promises to help us avoid the storms in our life, but He does say that He will be with us in the midst of our most anxious moments. REFLECT: As a part of the #fearless challenge, memorize 1 John 4:18 today and share on social media what it means to you with #fearless. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.   PRAY: Spend some time in prayer today praying for a few people in your life that you know of who are going troubling times. Maybe even ask on social media if anyone needs prayer.   // TWO-A-DAYS // GO A LITTLE FARTHER WITH YOUR DAILY DEVOTIONS // Go through these questions with your spouse, kids, or friend, or you can even journal about the answers to these questions:
