Read Philippians 3:15-21
Remember playing “Follow the Leader” in elementary school? The premise was simple: Everyone walked around in a single file line, and whatever the person at the front of the line did, everyone who followed had to do as well. It was pretty simple when we were kids, but what about now?
In Philippians 3, Paul urges the Philippians to follow his example. Paul was so confident in his relationship with God, that He could confidently say “follow me as I follow Christ.”
Can you say that? Would you be comfortable telling the people in your life to follow you as you follow Christ? It’s not about being perfect – Paul constantly points out his own flaws – it’s about being devoted to growing in a relationship with Christ and helping others do the same.
