Read Ephesians 5:15-17

I love to watch The Biggest Loser on television.  When the contestants first arrive at the ranch, all are overweight and struggling to take control of their weight problem.  During the first couple weeks of the show, you don’t immediately see the results.  However, midway through the competition, many of the competitors have lost between fifty and one hundred pounds.  As an at-home viewer, we don’t immediately see the results, but we get to enjoy watching the contestants see their futures being positively shaped by the decisions they make while on the ranch.

Just like the contestants on the show, the decisions we make today determine the person we will be tomorrow.  While it may be difficult to start the process and not see immediate gratification, remember that even the most minute details and decisions may ultimately play a significant role in the person we become tomorrow.

Whatever you’ve decided to start in your life to grow your relationship with God or make yourself better, remember it’s okay to not see results immediately. Stay the course, stay consistent, and trust God and the process that things will work out the way God wants them to in your life.]]>
