When I played basketball in high school, I was horrible at shooting free throws. I would practice them over and over and do great, but, when it came time to shoot them in a game, I would just be relieved to make contact with the rim!
A guy named Blake Ahearn from Missouri State University is the all time NCAA leader in free throw percentage. Since I stink at free throws, I’m amazed by his 94.5% success rate. Blake has said that he shot 102 free throws everyday in practice. Why 102? He said because he just used the first 100 to practice and the last two to count.
Blake’s small decision to make a seemingly insignificant aspect of his game a priority has him sitting atop the record books.
What is a decision can you make today to help God tell a story through your life? We are all capable of living the life God has prepared for us if we make a decision to start one thing God wants us to do today.]]>
