“Wait for me at Gilgal” were the instructions that Samuel had given Saul when he appointed him as king. Saul wasn’t supposed to go to battle until Samuel returned, but Saul only waited for seven days. Saul rushed to action, and he paid a price. It’s hard to wait on God. He does things in His own timing. In our lives, we expect things instantly, but we still have to wait for some things in our lives. God’s timing isn’t arbitrary, it’s for a purpose. He doesn’t make us wait without reason – whether we understand his reasons or not. Sometimes waiting for God in our lives can be difficult. We like to run ahead of His the way Saul did. Take a few minutes today to ask God to show you where you have ran ahead of His plans and ask Him to help you wait on Him.
Two-a-days are designed for you to connect with God and those closest to you. Feel free to modify this plan to fit your and your family’s needs.]]>
