The history of the Jewish nation showed that people resist God’s authority, and we don’t do any better today. But, God in His grace still loves us and wants to save us. The problem is the human heart, and the problem is universal. God’s solution began in the most surprising way. He didn’t appear directly from heaven, and He didn’t send a king to whip us into shape. His plan to save the world was to send a baby. But, this was no ordinary baby. He was a miracle child who was born to a mother without a human father. God’s plan to save the world began with this miraculous child. Thank God today for sending Jesus into the world to sacrifice for our sin, and, in your prayer, examine your life to see whether or not you still resist God’s authority in your life.
