PRAY: This prayer prompt is designed to help get you started in your prayer time. Use this to either begin your personal prayer time or your prayer time with your spouse or family.
This poor widow was used to thinking small. All she wanted was enough to get by. But, Elisha encouraged her to think big. God is a God of abundance, and He wants to give us more than we could ask or imagine. Why ask for just enough when God is ready to give so much more? However, it still took faith for the widow to go ask her neighbors for jars. Sometimes in life, we are the poor widow in need of help and sometimes we are the neighbor who can spare a jar or two. Spend some time with God today and, if you are in need of help, ask God to help you trust Him and show you who to go to ask for help. Or, if you don’t necessarily feel like you need help today, pray and ask Him to help you see who you can help around you.
