Exodus 5:22-23 For most of our lives, we’ve been taught that if we do good things, good things will happen to us. Likewise, all we’ve ever heard is that if we do bad things, bad things will happen to us. Because of this, we think that when we hit rough patches of our life, we’ve done something wrong. We gauge whether or not we are living right by how things turn out in our life. This isn’t how God always works, though. Sometimes He will allow tough situations to occur in our life. He will use these things to teach us about ourselves, prepare us for the future, or allow us to help other people around us. Just because we might face a detour on the road of God’s plan for our life doesn’t mean we’ve done something wrong. There are times when we can be doing everything exactly right, but things still don’t seem to be improving. The results your experience aren’t necessarily an indication of whether or not God is please with your life. When you hit rough spots in your life, don’t immediately concede that you must be doing something wrong. Stay faithful to God to see how God is going to use the detour He has allowed in your life.]]>
